About

A mosaic of minds, made stronger by their differences.

Every Mind a Masterpiece.

Mosaic Mindset exists to celebrate the brilliance of neurodiverse learners — and to give the people who love and teach them the strategies to help that brilliance shine.

Our Mission

At Mosaic Mindset, we believe that every individual has inherent value and the profound capacity to learn. Our mission is to empower educators, parents, and neurodiverse students by translating rigorous, research-driven insights into actionable steps and useful information. By identifying and sharing the most effective, evidence-based strategies, we equip our community with the tools necessary to deepen their understanding of neurodiversity and ensure that every learner is supported in reaching their full potential.

Our Vision

Mosaic Mindset envisions an educational landscape where neurodiversity is embraced, and every student's unique learning profile is recognized as a vital piece of a larger whole. We strive for a future where equitable access to meaningful, research-backed instruction is the standard — ensuring that all learners, especially those with learning differences, are understood, deeply valued, and provided with the exact frameworks they need to succeed.

Who This Is For

Mosaic Mindset is a comprehensive, research-driven resource designed for the interconnected network of individuals supporting student success: educators, school leaders, specialists, parents, and neurodiverse students themselves.

Our platform serves professionals seeking actionable, classroom-ready strategies, as well as caregivers and parents looking for highly useful, accessible information to better understand and advocate for their child's unique learning needs. While our primary focus is providing targeted support for students with Specific Learning Disabilities, Developmental Impairments, and Developmental Disabilities, Mosaic Mindset is fundamentally a resource for anyone committed to inclusive education. By championing a strengths-based perspective and identifying best practices, we provide evidence-based strategies that benefit all learners — ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

What Guides Us

  • Inherent worth. Every learner is whole, capable, and valued exactly as they are.
  • Strengths-first. We name and celebrate cognitive strengths before "fixing" anything.
  • Evidence over opinion. Strategies must be grounded in credible research.
  • Plain language. Useful information should be accessible — never gate-kept by jargon.
  • Growth, always. Learning how to learn unlocks every mind's superpower.

About the Creator

Mosaic Mindset grew out of a simple conviction: the research on how neurodiverse learners think, struggle, and thrive is out there — but it's buried in journals and hidden behind jargon, out of reach for the teachers, parents, and students who need it most.

I'm Jack Payne, a learning specialist and educator with over two decades of experience working with students in grades 9–12. I hold a Master of Science in Education in Teaching, Learning and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, where the idea for Mosaic Mindset began as my capstone project. What started as an academic exercise became something I couldn't put down — a passion project rooted in my genuine curiosity about how people learn and my belief that every student deserves access to the strategies that can change their academic trajectory.

I built this site as a free resource because I've seen firsthand what happens when a student finally understands how their own mind works. The goal is simple: make the best of what research and experience have taught me available to anyone who needs it.
